One day, my client Franchesca said, “Nyke, you are creating a non-traditional route when it comes to career paths,” which made me stop dead in my tracks. I asked her to repeat what she’d just said because I had to process it clearly. In that moment, I was in awe because she was absolutely correct! I had, in fact, created a non-traditional career path for myself and didn’t realize it.

Sure, I attended traditional grade school, but I barely graduated from high school. I followed with vocational cosmetology school for about thirteen months before graduating and heading straight into the workforce. I didn’t attend a four-year university and definitely didn’t take the traditional Corporate America route.

I’ve worked for others (some good…some not so good), but it always made me feel confined and lacking the freedom to explore my creative potential. So in order to have the life that I wanted, I had to create that path for myself. I had to be my own boss, and I had to establish an eclectic, non-traditional route to success.

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Nyoka Celestine, owner of Nyoka Gregory Beauty, Nyoka Gregory Beauty Salon, and Divine Cre8ions Boutique.
