Kitchen Uplighting
I’m super excited to share this new and easy project that we did with you! Installing these 6 lights in our kitchen has really brightened up the kitchen (at night) and has added some nice uplighting to the cabinets.
We had smaller lights under our cabinets that were previously installed before we purchased our home. They worked for a bit and then the batteries went out. I considered replacing them but never did because while I loved the idea of the lights under the cabinets, I didn’t like the bulbs we had. The light was more blue-based and didn’t really look good.
One of my friends put these lights in her home and did a video about them and I fell in love. That night I placed my Amazon order and they were delivered the next day!
Brilliant Evolution LED Puck Light 6 Pack with Remote
This six pack of lights come with 3 AA batteries in each light, a remote, screws, and 3M tape.
You have the option to screw the lights in to the desired area or you can use the 3M tape to adhere the light to the surface instead.
*NOTE: When you install the light (screws or tape) make sure the wireless Bluetooth symbol on the light is facing outward. This way when you use the remote, the sensors can read each other. I made the mistake in not reading that part before installing them lol. I learned a lesson to make your life easier!
We opted to use the 3M tape instead of the screws just because it would have been more work to use the latter. The 3M tape is pretty strong so they will hold up just fine. All I did was take one side of the tape off and stick it to the base of the light.
The previous lights that came with the house were installed with 3M tape and didn’t budge. In fact, they were a bit difficult to remove.
All done!
Once I stuck the lights underneath the cabinets, I was able to use the remote to turn them on and off. The good part about these lights is that you can put them on a timer and you can dim them if desired.
We now leave 2 of the lights on at night instead of the the light over the stove.
