Creamy Lemon Chicken
I have been wanting to cook something REALLY good for my hubby and bonus son because we can typically eat the same thing over and over without getting tired. In our home we love chicken, pasta, and sauces so this Creamy Lemon Chicken recipe was perfect.
I was a bit skeptical of the lemon flavoring because I’m not a fan of sour things and lemons can definitely overpower a dish. However, this recipe actually turned out great. Here’s how things went:
Marinated my chicken breasts overnight with olive oil, salt, lemon juice, garlic powder, garlic pepper, paprika, and chili powder. This is my “go-to” marinade for chicken breasts.
After cooking the chicken breasts I sautéed some mushrooms (about 1 1/2 cups) with fresh garlic before adding in the chicken stock.
THE TWEAK
You know I’m always tweaking recipes. This time I only marinated my chicken overnight which she doesn’t do in her recipe and I added MUSHROOOOOMSSS! Nom Nom Nom! LOL
