Spiced Caramel Apple Sangria
The holiday season is my FAVORITE time of year! I get excited in October when Hallmark starts talking about their new Christmas movies coming out and stores begin to put out Thanksgiving and Christmas decor. There’s just something about this magical season that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
I wanted to make this fall/winter feel-good drink just in time for the holiday because I enjoy a good cocktail and a great movie. The original recipe calls for four ingredients and is easy to make but if you’ve been following my blog for the past few months, then you know that I have “The Tweak”. You’ll see it down below after I give you the basics of the original delicious recipe.
You’ll need:
-Apples (original recipe calls for 4 but I only used 2)
-One bottle of white wine (chilled) (substitute with ginger ale for mocktail)
-One bottle of Sparkling Apple Cider (chilled)
-Caramel Syrup (the recipe calls for 1/4 but I only used 1/8)
One bottle of Sparkling Apple Cider then added one bottle of white wine.
I only used 1/8oz of Torani Caramel Syrup because I also added caramel flavored vodka (see below)
“The Tweak”
Originally when I tried out this recipe a month ago I followed the instructions exactly. After tasting it, I realized that it was good but it was missing a few elements (for my taste buds).
My suggestion is to make the original recipe and taste it. If you like it then leave it as is. If you prefer a little more spice and kick then add the tweak portion.
Kissed Caramel Vodka, Sparkling Harvest Apple Cider (from Sprouts), and cinnamon sticks are the three additional items added to this recipe.
1 Cup of each
Celeste absolutely loves apples so when she heard me slicing them she came running to the kitchen. Once I was all done with making the sangria she was able to get a few leftover pieces.
Some items listed may have be limited editions products so I linked the items that are in close proximity to them.
